Passover Dessert

I made matza toffee, often referred to as crack because it is hard to stop eating. I gave it to Erik to take to his house and trusted the family would not eat it up in two days.

It worked!

Introduction

On one of my five routes when I walk in the morning, I see a man with his dog. We greet each other and Parker, the dog, is always happy to see me. My daughter asked what the man’s name is. I finally asked him, indicating I had been directed to do so by my daughter.

Priorities.

Moods

Weather does contribute to our emotions, i.e. Seasonal Affective Disorder. The other day it vacillated from light rain to sun, to grayness, and to intense rain all day long. I suspect many were all over the place.

The sun is out today. Yeah!

Time For Change

Walked in a raincoat with the hood up again today. We have had a great deal of rain. I know winter is more intense in other areas of the country, but I have acclimated to California.

The rain can stop now.

College Exploration

Relatives came to visit universities. The number of places they will visit before he begins to apply is huge. It is nice to have this opportunity, but it seems it would be overwhelming.

First choice?

Risk

I always try new recipes on guests. It usually works well, except for one cake I made a few years ago and I was the one who disliked it. And so, the family comes this weekend for a lasagna soup.

We, or I, shall see.

Creativity

Ari told me he was presenting a poem he had written at a school event.  I knew he had been studying poetry and culture.  I asked him to read his poem to me.  His poem was in English and Hebrew and his thoughts and reflections were incredible.

I want a copy.

Alternative Plans

The last two games before the Super Bowl are today.  Yes, the 49ers are one of the teams. I can’t remember the last time I watched a football game.  Not today either.

On to streaming at home.

Not Again

When I went walking the other day on one of my usual routes, I stepped on something and fell.  I discovered it was a small yellow apple.  I went down hard.  The result was seriously felt in my left rib area.  That is not the first time I have bruised or broken those ribs.

Sorry for them.  Me too.

Mission Accomplished

Ari and Isaac were sleeping over. It was Ari’s request to go to Costco. I had taken Isaac a while ago. His request was to walk every aisle. He decided to pass on the meats, paper goods and clothing. He bought nothing, but he convinced me to try a couple of things.

Now that experience will remain in the past.
